At Dudley MBC we're recruiting for an agency Fostering Assessment Social Worker to join the Assessment Services.
Dudley Fostering Service is dedicated to recruiting and assessing the very best
Carers to provide a warm and loving home for our children in care, both mainstream
and connected/kinship.
We are based at Cable Plaza Waterfront in Dudley, where
we are co-located with the rest of children's services.
In these posts you will complete fostering assessments - kinship assessments using
the new Form K (previously Form C), Initial Viability Assessments, and Form F
assessments. You will report to the Team Manager for the Fostering Recruitment
and Assessment Team.
You will also be part of a supportive fostering service that
also has two support teams and a specialist post order support team.
3 Years English Local Authority Perm Experience is required.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle

Dudley Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding Team within Children's Services. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, child protection, and looked after children.
* Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, child protection investigations, and reviews.
* Ensure timely and high-quality risk assessments, care plans and reports in line with relevant legislation.
* Work collaboratively across agencies including health, education, police, and third-sector services.
* Provide direct interventions and therapeutic support to children and families to prevent family breakdown.
* Attend child protection conferences, reviews, court proceedings, and team meetings.
* Maintain accurate case records using the Children Case Management (CCM) system.
* Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and contribute to service development.

About the Role:
Dudley Council is looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Supporting Independence Team. The role focuses on helping vulnerable adults maintain independence, develop community relationships, and reduce reliance on formal care services.
You will assess needs, create person-centred support plans, and work alongside families, carers, and professionals to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete Care Act assessments and reviews
Develop outcome-focused support plans
Support adults to build and maintain independence
Use safeguarding frameworks to manage risk
Maintain accurate records and reports in line with policy
Requirements:
Social Work qualification and SWE registration
Experience working with adults in a statutory setting
Strong knowledge of the Care Act, MCA, and safeguarding protocols
Clear, confident communication and report writing skills
