Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Wigan Councils Kinship Assessment Team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing and supporting kinship carers, ensuring the welfare and safety of children placed within family networks. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated social worker with relevant experience in kinship or fostering assessments to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:
* Complete viability assessments, Regulation 24 assessments, and Form K assessments for prospective kinship carers.
* Provide supervision and support to approved kinship carers before cases are transferred to the Supervision and Support Team.
* Ensure all assessments and reports are completed in line with statutory guidance and local policies.
* Work closely with fostering and safeguarding teams to ensure the best outcomes for children.



Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Kinship Assessment Team within Wigan Council's Fostering Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive team focused on assessing and supporting family and friends carers.

Key Responsibilities
* Undertake viability assessments and Regulation 24 assessments
* Complete Form K assessments in line with statutory guidance
* Support the overall process of kinship care placements and ensure assessments are evidence-based and child-centred
* Work collaboratively with children's social care, legal services, and fostering panels
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for court and panel where necessary
