Social Worker required for work within the Safeguarding Team in the beautiful city of Southampton. Competitive rates of pay with a basic rate of up to £39ph. 37 hours per week. 3 month minimum contract with options to extend. Flexible working
Southampton City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and families while delivering high-quality statutory services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children and families subject to safeguarding and child protection plans.
* Undertake assessments, visits, and interventions in line with statutory requirements.
* Lead on child protection enquiries and contribute to strategy discussions and core group meetings.
* Develop and implement care plans to ensure positive outcomes for children.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including police, health, and education services.
* Prepare reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings where required.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join Southampton City Council's Safeguarding Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team committed to safeguarding children and achieving positive outcomes for families.
Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake child and family assessments in line with statutory guidance.
Manage a varied caseload of children subject to Child Protection, Child in Need, and safeguarding plans.
Develop and implement outcome-focused care plans to ensure children's safety and wellbeing.
Build effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.
Attend strategy meetings, child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings where required.
Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and case recordings within statutory timescales.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to reduce risk and promote positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with council policies and procedures.
RequirementsQualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
Registered with Social Work England.
Previous experience working within a Children's Safeguarding Team.
Strong assessment, risk management, and court work experience.
Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
