Southampton City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our 0-19 childrens (Early Help) Team. This role focuses on supporting children and young people who are in care, ensuring they experience stability, safety, and the best possible outcomes. Pay rate - £39ph. 37 hours per week 3 month minimum contract with options to extend. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements.

Youll work alongside Early Help practitioners, health visitors, school nurses, education professionals, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated, family-centred support for children and young people from birth to 19 years (up to 25 years for young people with additional needs where applicable).

Key Responsibilities
Complete holistic assessments to identify the needs of children, young people, and families.
Develop and review Early Help plans with children, families, and partner agencies.
Provide timely interventions to reduce risk and improve family resilience.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team including health, education, and voluntary sector partners.
Support safeguarding through effective risk assessment and information sharing.
Promote positive outcomes in education, health, emotional wellbeing, and family functioning.

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
