Join our dedicated team in Southampton as a Team Manager for the Children In Care Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a passionate group of social workers committed to improving the lives of children and young people in care. You will be responsible for overseeing case management, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and service users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing leadership and direction to the Children In Care Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Managing complex casework and supervising social workers to promote best practices. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for children and families. Monitoring performance metrics and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. Conducting regular team meetings and providing professional development opportunities for staff.To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent), registered with Social Work England, and substantial experience in child protection and safeguarding. Essential skills include:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in case management and report writing.
