Advanced Practitioner - Child Protection (CP) Team

Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: ST4 1RN, Stoke-on-Trent

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join the Child Protection (CP) Team at Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated frontline safeguarding service, where you will provide high-quality statutory social work while supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues. You will manage complex Child Protection cases, undertake statutory assessments, contribute to court proceedings where required, and work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in promoting best practice, providing professional guidance, and ensuring interventions are delivered in line with statutory legislation and local safeguarding procedures.

Key Skills Required:

Previous experience within Child Protection, Safeguarding or Children's Services

Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice

Experience undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries, Child Protection investigations and risk assessments

Ability to mentor, support and provide guidance to less experienced social workers

Excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills

Strong communication and multi-agency partnership working abilities

Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

Registered with Social Work England

Previous experience within Children's Services

Strong knowledge of Child Protection procedures, safeguarding legislation and court processes
