Team Manager required for work within the Corporate parenting Team in Totnes, Devon. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay up to £48.00ph. 3 month contract but likely reviewed. South Devon is a beautiful rural area with gorgeous beaches. Flexible hybrid working arrangements. Weekly accommodation £150 is available.

We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to support our team of skilled social workers and practitioners. You will be a team player and the ability to engage and communicate with other professionals is essential alongside sound knowledge of the legislation and regulations surrounding children in care and care experienced young people.

This role involves occasional Court Work and managing adolescent risk so a good understanding of contextual safeguarding is desirable.
You will be responsible for QA of work and supporting the team to produce quality work which has a positive impact on children and young people.

Workers need to be available to cover their allocations and visit children as necessary to meet service needs. There will be occasions when they can work from home but they do need to be available to respond when required to do so.


Your role will involve managing a team of practitioners, and embedding a high-performance culture by helping your team to continually develop their skills so that they can achieve the best outcomes for our children and their families. Through reflective supervision meetings you will champion the personal and professional growth of the social workers. Alongside your role as a people manager, you will also be responsible for the allocation and oversight of children within the North Devon area, ensuring quality standards are maintained, as well as supporting social workers to identify risk and decide when to take protective action.

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
