Social Worker required to join as an Team manager for work within the LAC/CIC Team in Southampton City Council. Competitive rates of pay rate up to £47.50ph. 37 hours per week. 3 month minimum contract with options to extend. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements offered.

This is a combined role for a Team Manager position overseeing a team and also running a duty pod. The team manager is leaving the authority but due to a restructure the service have been unable to advertise this vacancy.

There will be an expectation to be in the office at least 3 days a week and be present and visual for your team.

Overseeing a small team of social workers who support children in care.
Support 2 duty workers in their response to crisis.
Supervise and support staff
Chair strategy meetings.
Support other team manager colleagues.

Social Worker required to work as an Team Manager for work within the Safeguarding in the beautiful city of Southampton. Competitive rates of pay with a basic rate of up to £48ph. 37 hours per week. 3 month minimum contract with options to extend. Hybrid working.

Work later than the core working hours Hence the request for starting at 10.30 and working until 7pm. Manage duty across 3 teams. There maybe some travel and also direct work with children. Support moving children into placements alongside the duty social worker.

This post is support a service that have experienced significant increase in placement instability. There are a small number of children that are experiencing placement breakdowns as well as missing episodes. Therefore this post is to support the other children in care managers and support running duty for them and supporting their staff as well as an additional agency social worker who is also being employed to help this instability.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and management to a team of social workers within the Looked After Children service.
* Oversee care planning, statutory visits, reviews, and permanency planning.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and local authority policies.
* Support, supervise, and develop staff to maintain high professional standards.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
* Monitor performance and ensure timely completion of assessments, reports, and care plans.

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
