We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in West Berkshire. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Undertake assessments of children and families to identify risks and develop appropriate safeguarding plans. Provide direct support and intervention to children and families in need, including home visits and case management. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and support for families. Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions in line with statutory requirements.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within children's services, preferably within a safeguarding team. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage a complex caseload, and prioritize tasks efficiently.Additional requirements and benefits:
