We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Wigan. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families involved in the fostering process.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Assessing the needs of children and families to develop and implement effective care plans Conducting home visits and assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children in foster care Providing support and guidance to foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children Collaborating with other professionals to coordinate services and resources for children in care

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
