Qualified Social Worker - Families First Team

Pay Rate: Up to £39.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: M32 0TH, Trafford

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Families First Team at Trafford Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Families First Team, supporting children and families through early intervention, assessment and targeted support. You will work closely with families to reduce risk, promote positive change and prevent issues from escalating wherever possible, while ensuring children remain at the centre of all interventions.

Key Skills Required:

Experience within Families First, Family Help, Child Protection, Child in Need or Assessment TeamsStrong safeguarding, assessment and intervention skillsExperience completing statutory assessments and managing complex caseloadsKnowledge of Section 17 and Section 47 processesExcellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skillsAbility to build effective relationships with children, families and partner agenciesSocial Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentRegistered with Social Work EnglandPrevious experience within Children's ServicesStrong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated QSW to join the Families First - Child in Need Service at Trafford Council.

Pay Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Talbot Road, Manchester, M32 0TH

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will work on a locality basis with children and families requiring social work assessments. You will play a key role in strengthening assessment and planning for children in need, supporting the consistent delivery of services, and enabling safe step-down of plans in line with families' timescales. You will also coach, support, and supervise designated staff or students, helping to develop their professional skills.

Key Skills Required:

Experience in child in need assessments, section 47 enquiries, and child protectionAbility to build and maintain strong relational partnerships with children and familiesAbility to demonstrate high-quality work including assessments and professional reportingSkills in mentoring and supporting less experienced staffAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a varied caseloadStrong decision-making and professional judgement

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentAt least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's servicesSocial Work England Registration5 years reference, gaps in employment history checked, and relevant qualifications as per JDPS
