Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join Walsall Council. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled safeguarding professional to play a key role in managing allegations and concerns involving professionals and volunteers working with children.
Location: Birchills Locality Hub, WS1 1TP
Pay Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months initially
Hours: Part-Time (Wednesday to Friday - negotiable)
Hybrid Working: Part remote (to be agreed)
* Manage and oversee allegations and concerns relating to professionals and volunteers working with children
* Provide advice and guidance in line with local safeguarding procedures
* Liaise with Police, schools, health services, and partner agencies to ensure safeguarding matters are appropriately managed
* Lead on the development, implementation, and review of LADO policies and procedures
* Support the borough in ensuring safe and effective safeguarding practices
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Minimum 5 years' experience working directly with children and families in a safeguarding setting
* Enhanced DBS and full UK driving licence
* Strong safeguarding, partnership working, and policy development experience
* Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on complex safeguarding matters
* DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown Synergy
* Referral bonus for successful recommendations
