Join our dedicated team in Walsall as a Senior Qualified Social Worker (Sr. QSW) within the Disabled Children and Young Person's Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and young people with disabilities and their families. As a Sr. QSW, you will lead and support a dynamic team, ensuring that the highest standards of care and support are provided to our service users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs of disabled children and their families. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and best interests of children and young people. Providing guidance and supervision to junior staff members, fostering their professional development. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in social work, specifically with disabled children and young people. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
