Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk to determine appropriate interventions Collaborating with other agencies and professionals to coordinate support and protection plans Participating in MASH meetings to share information and make informed decisions regarding safeguarding concerns Providing advocacy and support to individuals to empower them in decision-making processes Completing accurate and timely documentation to maintain case records and comply with legal requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England Proven experience working within adult social care, preferably in a MASH setting Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop effective intervention strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Role Overview:
Wolverhampton City Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult MASH Team. This is a key safeguarding role at the front door of adult social care, where you will be responsible for triaging and managing referrals and ensuring that appropriate safeguarding responses are put in place swiftly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Responding to safeguarding referrals as part of a fast-paced Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.

Making initial enquiries, gathering information, and assessing risk.

Liaising with a wide range of professionals including police, health, and housing.

Applying the Care Act 2014 to determine eligibility and thresholds for intervention.

Ensuring timely and proportionate responses in line with safeguarding procedures.

Recording all actions and decisions clearly using internal systems.
