Darlington Borough Council is looking for a skilled Social Worker to join their Children's Initial Advice Team (CIAT) within the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub). This is a unique, rewarding opportunity to work at the heart of safeguarding children in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Assess incoming contact information from various sources, including families, professionals, and agencies.

  • Collaboration: Work alongside key partners to ensure children and families receive comprehensive support.
  • Agile Working: This non-case holding role offers flexible, agile working, allowing you to work remotely or within office settings as needed.
  • What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in Children's Social Care: A broad understanding of children's social care, from Early Help through to care proceedings and adoption, is essential.
  • Strong Risk Assessment Skills: You must have significant experience in identifying and managing risk in child protection cases.
  • Passion for Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is crucial.

About the Role:

  • Role Type: Non-case holding role within the Children's Initial Advice Team (CIAT)
  • Model: Uses the Professor David Thorpe model of practice
  • Pay Rate: £200.09 per day
