About the Role: In this role, youll manage an allocated caseload, including high complexity and high-risk cases related to child protection, care and support, deprivation of liberty, court actions, school attendance, and more. Youll provide essential support to adults, children, and their families, ensuring their needs are met through comprehensive assessments and tailored care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and make decisions on high complexity and high-risk cases in Wrexham.
* Undertake thorough assessments, design care and support plans, and determine exter-nal support within allocated budget parameters.
* Work independently and collaboratively to adapt social work techniques to meet the unique needs of individuals and families.
* Safeguard the welfare of adults and children, taking appropriate actions to protect those at immediate risk of harm.
* Participate in a duty system on a rota basis, responding promptly to crisis situations and managing potential risks.
* Serve as a role model, sharing best practices, mentoring new social workers, and sup-porting their career development.
* Prepare court reports, carry out best interest assessments, and chair various meetings as needed.
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience in social work, particularly in managing complex and high-risk cas-es.
* Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and children.
