Hours: Part-Time (22 hours per week) - Ideally Monday to Wednesday
Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking for a rewarding role in Adult Social Care? Derby City Council's Safeguarding Adults Team is seeking an experienced professional to join their team. This part-time opportunity is perfect for someone ready to make a difference in safeguarding adults in the Derby community.
Key Responsibilities:
Work within the Safeguarding Adults Team to provide support, assessment, and intervention for vulnerable adults.
Undertake safeguarding enquiries, including risk assessments and protection planning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
Maintain accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker (QSW): You must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
Work Base Commitment: Willing and able to work on-site at the Council House, Derby City Council, as the primary work location.
Availability: Ideally available to work Monday to Wednesday.
Interview Process: Prepared to attend a formal interview conducted over Microsoft Teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Strong experience in safeguarding adults, including knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with service users, families, and professionals.
A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
Flexibility and commitment to meeting deadlines and managing workloads effectively.
