? Part-Time Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) - Quality Improvement Service ?

? Hours: 18 hours per week
About the Role:
We are seeking a Part-Time Locum Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join Bromley's Quality Improvement Service. The IRO will play a key role in ensuring high-quality reviews for children in care, promoting best practices, and driving continuous service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
? Chair Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews, ensuring that childrens voices are central to care planning.
? Monitor and challenge care plans to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
? Ensure statutory requirements are met and that care plans comply with relevant legislation and guidance.
? Work closely with social workers, foster carers, health professionals, and education providers to improve outcomes for children.
? Provide constructive challenge and oversight to ensure care plans are appropriate, timely, and in the childs best interests.
? Contribute to service improvement initiatives within the Quality Improvement Service.
Requirements:
? Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
? Extensive experience as an IRO or similar role in Looked After Children's services.
? Strong knowledge of child protection, care planning, and relevant legislation.
? Ability to challenge poor practice and advocate for children's rights.
? Experience working with multi-agency teams to support children in care.
Work Pattern:
Week 1: Monday to Wednesday (full days).
Week 2: Monday and Tuesday (full days).
The pattern repeats on a rotational basis.
