Social Worker - Children's Disability Service - Leicestershire County Council

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Children's Disability Service on a part-time basis. This role involves working with children and families to ensure their needs are assessed, understood, and met in line with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct procedurally compliant assessments and Section 47 enquiries to identify risks and needs based on evidence.
- Record and analyse assessment information in accordance with case recording policies and national guidance.
- Develop clear and effective care plans addressing identified issues.
- Apply relevant legislation, case law, and best practice guidance in all interventions.
- Engage with children, carers, and families to understand their circumstances, wishes, and feelings to inform long-term interventions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide social care advice and interventions.
- Prioritise cases based on urgency, risk levels, and needs to ensure child safety and well-being.
