About the Role:
Greenwich Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager (TM) to lead and improve the effectiveness of a Children & Young People's Social Care Team (0-25). The role involves managing a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and driving positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
? Lead and supervise a team providing children's and adults social care services (0-25).
? Ensure high standards in assessment, planning, and intervention to safeguard children and young people.
? Develop and implement service improvements that enhance outcomes for service users.
? Monitor performance, quality assurance, and casework standards within the team.
? Provide expert guidance on legislation, best practices, and local policies.
? Act as a key decision-maker in complex cases and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures.
? Work collaboratively with external agencies, including health, education, and the voluntary sector.
? Support professional development of staff through regular supervision, mentoring, and coaching.

Key Requirements:
? Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with Social Work England registration.
? Proven experience as a Team Manager or Senior Social Worker in a children's social care setting.
? Strong knowledge of Children's and Adults' Social Care legislation (0-25), Safeguarding, and the Care Act 2014.
? Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team effectively.
? Experience in performance management, quality assurance, and service improvement.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
? Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.
