Senior Practitioner - Early Help & Prevention | East Riding of Yorkshire Council | £31.21 per hour
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join the Early Help & Prevention Team. This role focuses on providing proactive support to children and families, preventing the need for statutory interventions. The position is based in HU17 9BA, with a competitive pay rate of £31.21 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support Early Help & Prevention services, ensuring effective intervention strategies.
Work with children, young people, and families to provide targeted support and improve outcomes.
Manage a caseload of complex cases, delivering tailored early intervention plans.
Supervise and mentor social workers, family support workers, and other team members.
Collaborate with partner agencies, including schools, health services, and community organizations.
Ensure compliance with Children's Services policies, safeguarding legislation, and best practices.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience in Early Help, Family Support, or Prevention services within Children's Social Care.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
Excellent risk assessment, problem-solving, and multi-agency working abilities.
Knowledge of Early Help frameworks and intervention models.
