Barnsley Council is establishing a new and dynamic Targeted Child in Need Team. This team will carry a small caseload of children requiring social work intervention at the Child in Need level.

Role Overview:
* Manage a small, focused caseload of children at the Child in Need level, delivering tailored interventions that address specific family needs.
* Work closely with families, providing intensive, meaningful support to achieve positive outcomes within a short timeframe.
* Collaborate with the Assessment Service, which will complete the initial assess-ments and refer cases to the Targeted Child in Need Team for intervention.
* Ensure that cases are appropriately stepped down or closed to Children's Social Care at the end of the intervention period.
* Engage in 'old skool social work,' where the emphasis is on direct, impactful work with families, allowing you the time and space to make a real difference.
