Team Manager - Children with Disabilities (0-18) - Durham County Council

Are you an experienced Children with Disabilities Team Manager looking for your next opportunity?
Durham County Council is seeking a Team Manager to lead our Children with Disabilities 0-18 Team. This statutory team is responsible for supporting children with additional needs, from referral through to permanence.
About the Role:
As Team Manager, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the team, ensuring high-quality services for children and families.
- Work closely with a Social Work Consultant to ensure care planning, commissioning services, and respite placements are effectively managed.
- Support transitions for children into adulthood, with knowledge of SEND, EHCP proceedings, and the Care Act.
- Be part of a supportive management network across North Durham, with access to Social Work Consultants and a senior leadership team.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Children with Disabilities role
- Strong knowledge of care planning, commissioning, and transition processes
- Familiarity with SEND, EHCPs, and the Care Act
- Leadership skills with a passion for making a difference
