Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Barnet Council's Urgent Response Occupational Therapy Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled OT with strong manual handling experience who enjoys working autonomously within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The team covers the entire London Borough of Barnet and is committed to delivering an outstanding service to residents requiring urgent occupational therapy interventions.
About the RoleAs part of the Urgent Response OT Team, you will:
Complete Occupational Therapy assessments and Moving & Handling Risk AssessmentsManage urgent referrals across the boroughProvide recommendations and interventions to reduce risks to service users and carersWork independently while receiving regular supervision and day-to-day supportParticipate in the duty OT rota one day per weekCollaborate with a proactive and positive multidisciplinary teamReferral Criteria IncludesMoving and handling cases where existing equipment is unsuitable or unavailableHigh-risk situations where carers are at risk of physical injurySafeguarding concerns relating to equipment or manual handlingService users unable to transfer safely between bed, chair, toilet, or navigate stairsUrgent equipment replacement where equipment has been deemed irreparable and risks injuryRequests for increased care packages requiring manual handling assessmentsPalliative care cases where Continuing Healthcare or North London Hospice are not involvedEssential RequirementsQualified Occupational TherapistHCPC RegisteredExcellent manual handling experienceAbility to work autonomously and manage urgent caseloadsStrong assessment and risk management skillsTeam player with a positive and proactive approachDriving licence and access to a vehicle preferredWorking PatternThursday is the designated office day for the whole team1-2 days per week in the officeHybrid working for the remainder of the weekBenefits of Working with Eden Brown SynergyDBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown Synergy£300 referral bonus when you refer a colleague or friendBonus for finding your own roleTwice-weekly payrollDedicated recruitment consultant supporting you throughout your assignmentHow to ApplyTo apply, please send your CV to Shristi Yadav at or call 0114 700 3826 for more information.
