Are you a Qualified Social Worker with experience in working with children and families? Join the CAFCASS Private Law team in Liverpool as a Family Court Adviser (FCA) and play a vital role in helping the courts make informed decisions that safeguard the best interests of children.

🧩 The Role:
You'll be working within the Work After First Hearing team, where you'll undertake direct work with children and families during a period of court-directed assessment. This includes:

Engaging with children and families to understand their needs and concernsProviding clear, concise, and analytical reports to the Family CourtAdvocating for safe and child-focused arrangementsApplying risk assessment and mediation skillsGiving expert evidence in court on complex family matters

While the team is based in Liverpool, this role offers flexible and remote working, so proximity to the office is not a strict requirement.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationCourt work experience and confidence in providing written and verbal evidenceStrong communication, report writing, and risk assessment skillsExperience working with children and families across various settingsAbility to work independently, manage deadlines, and remain resilient under pressure
