Are you a Qualified Social Worker with experience in working with children and families? Join the CAFCASS Private Law team in Liverpool as a Family Court Adviser (FCA) and play a vital role in helping the courts make informed decisions that safeguard the best interests of children.

🧩 The Role:
You'll be working within the Work After First Hearing team, where you'll undertake direct work with children and families during a period of court-directed assessment. This includes:

  • Engaging with children and families to understand their needs and concerns
  • Providing clear, concise, and analytical reports to the Family Court
  • Advocating for safe and child-focused arrangements
  • Applying risk assessment and mediation skills
  • Giving expert evidence in court on complex family matters

While the team is based in Liverpool, this role offers flexible and remote working, so proximity to the office is not a strict requirement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Court work experience and confidence in providing written and verbal evidence
  • Strong communication, report writing, and risk assessment skills
  • Experience working with children and families across various settings
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and remain resilient under pressure
