We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team in Trafford. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families involved with the care system.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams Providing direct support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their well-being and safety Participating in court proceedings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children Working closely with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services and supportThe ideal candidate for this role will possess:
A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in children's social work, preferably within a CIC team Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environmentIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in trauma-informed practice and knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Children Act 1989, will be highly regarded.
