Children's SW - CIC Team - Trafford
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team in Trafford. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families involved with the care system.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Providing direct support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their well-being and safety
- Participating in court proceedings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children
- Working closely with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services and support
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience in children's social work, preferably within a CIC team
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment
In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in trauma-informed practice and knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Children Act 1989, will be highly regarded.
