We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Front Door Team in Devon. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in the region.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Assessing and responding to referrals concerning children at risk of harm or in need of support Conducting initial assessments and making decisions on appropriate courses of action Undertaking child protection investigations and working with families to develop plans for intervention Collaborating with partner agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and families Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as requiredEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working in a children's social work setting, preferably within a Front Door Team Strong assessment and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguardingAdditional requirements and benefits:
