We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner in Help & Protection to join our dynamic team in Coventry. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families within our community. As a Senior Practitioner, you will lead by example, providing guidance and support to social work staff while managing a caseload of complex cases. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving positive outcomes for children and families, ensuring they receive the necessary support and intervention.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Managing a caseload of children in need and at risk, conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers, ensuring high standards of practice and compliance with statutory requirements. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding and support. Conducting regular reviews of care plans and risk assessments, adapting strategies as necessary to meet changing needs. Participating in training and development initiatives, promoting best practices within the team.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to social work practice.
