Devon County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our Front Door/Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. This pivotal role is aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As an Advanced Social Worker, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding practices, providing critical assessments and interventions that make a real difference in people's lives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support, ensuring their safety and welfare. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans. Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on complex cases. Leading and mentoring less experienced social workers and support staff. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
