Social Worker - Child Protection (CP) Team

Doncaster City Council

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Child Protection (CP) Team within Doncaster City Council. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to contribute to a high-performing safeguarding service, supporting children and families to achieve positive and safe outcomes.

Pay Rate :- £32-£35 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role

You will be joining a busy and supportive Child Protection Team, working with children and families where there are safeguarding concerns. The role requires a confident and experienced Social Worker who can manage complex cases, work effectively under pressure, and contribute to high-quality safeguarding practice.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage a complex Child Protection caseload in line with statutory requirementsUndertake assessments, home visits, and risk analysisPrepare high-quality reports for conferences and court proceedingsContribute to Child Protection Conferences and multi-agency meetingsDevelop and implement care and protection plans for children and familiesWork collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard childrenMaintain accurate, timely, and professional case recordsRequirementsSocial Work England registrationSignificant post-qualifying experience within Children's ServicesStrong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processesExperience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers (desirable)Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skillsBenefitsCompetitive rate of £40 per hourSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to influence and develop best practice within the serviceOngoing agency contract with potential for extensionExposure to complex and rewarding safeguarding work
