Social Worker - Child Protection (CP) Team

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Child Protection (CP) Team within Doncaster City Council. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to contribute to a high-performing safeguarding service, supporting children and families to achieve positive and safe outcomes.
Pay Rate :- £32-£35 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role
You will be joining a busy and supportive Child Protection Team, working with children and families where there are safeguarding concerns. The role requires a confident and experienced Social Worker who can manage complex cases, work effectively under pressure, and contribute to high-quality safeguarding practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex Child Protection caseload in line with statutory requirements
- Undertake assessments, home visits, and risk analysis
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences and court proceedings
- Contribute to Child Protection Conferences and multi-agency meetings
- Develop and implement care and protection plans for children and families
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional case records
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers (desirable)
- Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills
