CAFCASS is seeking a skilled and experienced Family Court Adviser (FCA) to join their team in Derby, supporting both Public and Private Law proceedings. This is a full-time temporary role offering competitive hourly pay for qualified professionals with a strong background in safeguarding and family court work.

Rate: £34.00 - £37.25 per hour (umbrella)

Contract Type: Temporary

Working Hours: 37 per week

Team: Public and Private Law

Reporting To: Alison Wakefield

Hiring Manager: Smita Haried

Registered with Social Work England

Recent experience working in Family Court settings or similar statutory roles

Proven ability to work independently on complex assessments and reports

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and child welfare legislation

Able to provide 5 years of references

Experience working directly with CAFCASS or similar legal/child protection bodies

Strong communication and report writing abilities

Confident working with children, families, legal professionals, and external agencies

Weekly payroll
