Eden Brown Synergy are recruiting for a Locum Occupational Therapist to support the 0-25 Adaptations service at Gateshead Council. This role focuses on reducing waiting lists by providing timely assessments and adaptations for children and young people.
Location: Gateshead Council, Civic Centre, NE8 1HH
Pay Rate: £27.49 per hour
Main Purpose of the Role
To provide occupational therapy input specifically for adaptations for children and young people aged 0-25, helping to reduce waiting times and ensure timely support. You will be responsible for assessing needs, recommending equipment or adaptations, and liaising with families, carers, and relevant professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload focusing on adaptations for 0-25-year-oldsComplete assessments in homes or other relevant settingsRecommend and coordinate appropriate equipment or adaptationsProvide advice and support to families, carers, and partner agenciesMaintain accurate records and reports for all assessments and interventionsContribute to reducing waiting lists and improving service deliveryEssential Requirements
Recognised Occupational Therapy qualificationHCPC registrationExperience in community or paediatric occupational therapyKnowledge of equipment and adaptations for children and young peopleAbility to work independently and manage a caseloadStrong communication and liaison skills with families and professionalsBenefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include:
