We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Glos - CP Chair to join our dynamic team in the Qualified Social Work field. This pivotal role requires an individual who is passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. As the CP Chair, you will lead Child Protection Conferences, ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration and adherence to statutory obligations, ultimately driving positive outcomes for vulnerable children.
Key responsibilities include:
Facilitating and chairing Child Protection Conferences, ensuring all relevant information is shared and considered. Working collaboratively with social workers, families, and partner agencies to develop and implement robust child protection plans. Monitoring progress and reviewing cases to ensure adherence to established plans and statutory requirements. Providing expert guidance and support to team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of practice standards. Engaging with families in a sensitive and constructive manner, fostering trust and open communication.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and policies. Proven ability to lead and facilitate multi-agency meetings effectively. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to best practice.
