Havering Council is currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and dedicated Social Worker to support children and young people who are looked after, ensuring their needs, safety, and long-term outcomes remain at the centre of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of Children in Care, ensuring statutory responsibilities are metCompleting regular statutory visits, assessments, care planning, and reviewsWorking collaboratively with children, young people, families, carers, and multi-agency partnersSupporting permanency planning and achieving positive outcomes for childrenPreparing high-quality reports and attending meetings, reviews, and court proceedings where requiredEnsuring safeguarding concerns are identified and managed effectivelyRequirements:
Social Work England registrationRecent experience within a Children in Care / Looked After Children TeamStrong knowledge of statutory social work practice and safeguarding proceduresAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environmentRole Details:
