About the Role:
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Locality Team Manager to support our dedicated staff team in delivering high-quality services to adults across Hereford. This is a vital leadership role requiring a proactive, compassionate professional who can drive quality outcomes and embed strength-based, person-centred practice across the service.
Working office-based two days per week, you will be at the heart of shaping practice culture, supporting staff, and influencing operational delivery with a clear focus on improving lives and outcomes for local residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a multi-disciplinary team delivering adult social care services across Hereford City.
Ensure service delivery is aligned with strength-based, person-centred, and risk-aware practices.
Work collaboratively with partners and senior leadership to shape effective strategies and embed best practice.
Provide professional supervision, guidance, and performance management to team members.
Contribute to system-wide service improvements and cultural transformation initiatives.
About You:
Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
Experienced team manager or senior practitioner ready to step into a leadership role.
Strong background in statutory adult social care, with a demonstrable record of high-quality practice.
Skilled in communication, team-building, and collaborative working.
Passionate about making a real difference in the lives of adults, families, and communities.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Herefordshire - Adults Locality Team Manager to join our team on a contractual basis at a competitive rate of £42 per hour. As a vital member of our Qualified Social Work field, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team to deliver high-quality services to adults in the Herefordshire area.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of services to adults in the locality. Provide supervision, support, and guidance to team members, promoting professional development and ensuring high standards of practice. Oversee and manage complex cases, conducting assessments, and developing care plans in line with relevant legislation and policies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote partnership working and integrated service delivery. Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. We are looking for a full-time enthusiastic Locality Manager to join us in providing support to a staff team and provide quality services for vulnerable adults.

We want to ensure residents, families and communities have the right support in place to enable them to confidently prepare for later life so they can live independently for as long as possible and remain economically active for longer.
With a large, dispersed team, covering Leominster, Kington and surrounding areas this leader will be an accomplished communicator and highly respected Social Work leader, skilled at creating a shared vision and culture across all aspects of practice. They will ensure a person-centred, strength based and risk appropriate approach permeates through decision making at all levels. You will need to be office based 2 days a week.
You will be an experienced social work manager or a practitioner with substantial experience and expertise in statutory social work looking to progress into a management role. Your experience will enable you to evidence how you have applied your learning to your practice and you will have a proven track record of excellent practice.
You will influence system-wide cultural change, and work together to achieve a joined-up approach to operational services, creating a clear vision for the future social care workforce that demonstrates innovative, best practice and serves to inspire colleagues in other parts of the service and partner agencies. The ability to lead the development and implementation of strategy in relation to key areas of practice will be essential.
With increasing, complex demand and a challenging financial environment, you will be pivotal in, forming strong and influential relationships across the system to deliver value for money services which manage risk appropriately and improve outcomes.
