Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children within the community. As a Children's Social Worker in the MASH Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Collaborating with partner agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans. Providing expert advice and support to families, ensuring their voices are heard. Documenting casework and maintaining accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Care Wales. Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and child protection procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-agency setting.

The Role

Conwy Council is seeking an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join its Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This is a key role focused on protecting vulnerable adults and ensuring timely, high-quality safeguarding responses across the borough.

You will play a central role in managing safeguarding referrals, coordinating multi-agency responses, and driving cases forward to achieve safe and effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming safeguarding referrals and make timely decisions in line with statutory frameworks
Lead and oversee safeguarding enquiries and investigations through to completion
Ensure high-quality casework, protection planning, and compliance with All Wales Safeguarding Procedures
Work collaboratively within the MASH environment, liaising with health, police, and partner agencies
Support and guide colleagues on complex safeguarding cases
Contribute to quality assurance through case audits and performance monitoring
Promote person-centred practice, ensuring individuals and families are fully involved in decision-making
Support development of best practice through advice, mentoring, and informal supervision where required
