Conwy Council - Qualified Social Worker - Family & Safeguarding Team

Location: Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, LL29 7AZ
Pay Rate: £39.95 per hour Umbrella
Working Pattern: Hybrid

Conwy Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join its Family & Safeguarding Team on a locum basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention
  • Undertaking assessments, child protection investigations, and care planning
  • Working in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals
  • Attending child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings where required
  • Ensuring children are safeguarded and supported to achieve positive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Social Work England/Wales registration
  • Previous experience within Children's Services, particularly Family & Safeguarding
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced statutory setting
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
