We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment Safeguarding Services team in the field of Qualified Social Work. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring their well-being and protection.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine safeguarding needs. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to support positive outcomes. Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior social work staff, offering support and mentorship. Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children. Contribute to the continuous improvement of services through reflective practice and adherence to regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration. Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions within a safeguarding context. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively. Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage complex caseloads efficiently.
