We requirement for the role is
* Someone with Tenancy Sustainment experience.
* Conduct periodic check ins (e.g. 3 and 6 months) with clients who have already been supported to move into Private Rented Sector accommodation
* Reinforcing client skills learned during initial support
* Encouraging clients with self management of tenancy while remaining accessible
* Reducing client's long term dependency on services
* Check-in with landlord/agents to review rent account, tenancy conduct, and wellbeing
* Early identification of emerging risks of homelessness
* Prevents recurrence of homelessness
* Reduces repeat presentations for homelessness assistance
* Demonstrates reasonable and proactive steps to prevent homelessness
* Continued engagement with tenants who remain at risk despite earlier intervention
* Undertake prompt action if arrears, ASB, or vulnerabilities emerge/re emerge
* Ensure agreed actions remain sustainable
* Revisiting and adjusting tenancy management steps where circumstances change
* Addressing issues early before notices, enforcement, or abandonment occurs
* Providing mediation, budgeting refreshers, or referrals as required
* Knowledge and experience of assisting clients with benefits and budgeting
* Working knowledge of the Renter's Rights Act 2026, Housing Act 1996 and other related legislation
* Full clean driving licence and own transport
* Ability to work in Luton 4-5 days per week
* Visiting clients in their homes
* DBS check - enhanced - adult's and children's.

We are currently working with Luton Borough Council who are looking to appoint an experienced Practice Manager to join their Youth Partnership Service on an agency basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager within Children's Services, Youth Justice, Social Care, or multi-agency safeguarding services to lead operational delivery and drive improved outcomes for children, young people, families, and victims.
The Role
As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Youth Partnership Service, ensuring high-quality service delivery, safeguarding, and risk management across complex cases involving young people and families.
You will provide leadership, supervision, and performance oversight to a multidisciplinary team including Social Workers, Police Officers, Teachers, Nurses, Youth Workers, Probation Officers, and other partner agencies.
The focus of the service is to reduce child criminal exploitation, first-time offending, re-offending, anti-social behaviour, and protect children and the public from harm.
Key Responsibilities
Managing operational delivery of Youth Partnership ServicesOversight of safeguarding, risk management, and high-risk casesProviding professional supervision and case management support to staffLeading on quality assurance, audits, and service improvementSupporting strategic development, policies, and partnership plansManaging staff performance, recruitment, appraisals, and developmentWorking closely with courts, police, education, and safeguarding partnersDeputising for the Deputy Head of Service when requiredSupporting budget management and resource allocationEssential Requirements

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker - Family Help Team to join Luton Borough Council within Children, Families & Education Services.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary Family Help Team focused on delivering high-quality early help, child in need, and safeguarding interventions to children and families across Luton.
You will work as part of an innovative service alongside social workers, psychologists, CAMHS workers, police community support officers, health visitors, youth workers, housing officers, mental health professionals, and other partner agencies to deliver meaningful support and protection for vulnerable children and young people.
This role offers strong hybrid flexibility with a mix of office, home, and community-based working.
Key Responsibilities
Complete clear, accurate, and holistic assessments of need and risk for children and familiesLead multi-agency planning and interventions to prevent escalation and safeguard childrenUndertake statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court workCarry out statutory visits, parenting assessments, and safeguarding investigationsBuild strong and effective relationships with children and families to ensure their voices are heardDevelop SMART care plans and coordinate support packagesMaintain accurate and timely case recording using Liquid LogicPrepare reports, court statements, and represent the Local Authority in court where requiredWork collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to improve outcomes for children and familiesEssential Requirements
