I'm recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join Knowsley Borough Council's Looked After Children (LAC) Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team making a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Westmorland Road, Huyton

Pay Rate: Up to £39/hour (Umbrella)

Hybrid Working: 3 days office-based

Holding a caseload of Looked after ChildrenUndertaking Core AssessmentsUndertaking Child Protection EnquiriesUndertaking Viability AssessmentsUndertaking Kinship AssessmentsUndertaking Risk AssessmentsProducing Annex B reportsUndertaking Regulation 38 AssessmentsUndertaking Special Guardian AssessmentsLiaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children'/ young people's needsPreparing & implementing Care PlansAttending court and giving evidence when requiredObtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision OrdersInitiating Care ProceedingsCompletion of Care ProceedingsObtaining Special Guardianship OrdersProducing Child Permanency ReportsReviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship OrdersPreparing looked after children review reportsInitiating Personal Education Plans (PEP's)Producing Health Care Assessments and Health PlansMaking referrals for Foster PlacementsPreparing children for placementsImplementing Twin Tracking processes for children in care proceedings

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentAt least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's servicesSocial Work England RegistrationDriving license and access to own vehicle
