Social Worker (Adults Safeguarding Team - A&C)

£34 per hour
Full-time (Hybrid working)

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Adult Team.

The team provides a short-term, focused safeguarding intervention to ensure timely risk management and person-centred outcomes in line with Making Safeguarding Personal principles.

Key responsibilities:

Apply safeguarding thresholds and manage Section 42 enquiriesIdentify and respond to immediate riskUndertake Mental Capacity and Best Interest decisions where requiredEngage with adults to understand and achieve their desired outcomesHold strategy meetings and multi-agency discussionsWork collaboratively with partner agencies to coordinate safeguarding responsesEnsure safeguarding practice is person-centred and strengths-based

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work EnglandStrong knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health ActExperience in safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency workingStrong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skillsFull UK driving licence or access to a vehicle

Team information:

Average caseload: 15Team structure: 1 Team Manager, 9 Social Workers, 2 CSWs

Working pattern:

Full-time roleHybrid working (majority home-based)Office attendance required for weekly meetings and 6-weekly team meetings
