Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join the Locality (Family First) Team at Manchester City Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a busy frontline team, providing effective management, supervision and support to social workers delivering high-quality services to children, young people and their families. You will be responsible for overseeing complex cases, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met, promoting high standards of practice and driving positive outcomes for children.
As Team Manager, you will provide strong leadership, support staff development, monitor performance and work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively and interventions are delivered in line with statutory guidance.
Key Skills Required:
Previous Team Manager experience within Children's ServicesExperience within Family First, Locality, Child Protection, Child in Need, Safeguarding or Assessment TeamsStrong leadership, supervision and performance management skillsExcellent knowledge of statutory children's social care legislation and safeguarding practiceExperience managing complex caseloads and supporting decision-makingExcellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skillsAbility to drive service improvement and achieve positive outcomes for children and familiesSocial Work England registration requiredEssential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentRegistered with Social Work EnglandPrevious Team Manager experience within Children's ServicesStrong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practiceBenefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include:
