Qualified Social Worker - Substance Misuse Team (Duty/Short-Term)

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting 2 experienced Qualified Social Workers to join the Substance Misuse Team at Newcastle City Council on an agency basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and experienced social workers to support the team with duty and short-term casework, working with adults affected by substance misuse and helping to deliver timely, person-centred interventions.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage duty responsibilities within the Substance Misuse Team.Undertake short-term assessments and interventions with adults requiring support.Complete comprehensive assessments and develop outcome-focused support plans.Work collaboratively with health professionals, partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams.Assess risk and implement appropriate safeguarding measures where required.Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements.Provide effective support to individuals experiencing substance misuse issues, promoting recovery and independence.Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.RequirementsQualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.Social Work England registration.Previous experience working within Adult Social Care and/or Substance Misuse Services.Experience managing duty work and completing timely assessments.Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and relevant legislation.Excellent communication, assessment and case management skills.Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.Benefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include:DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown Synergy.Referral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to us.Bonus for finding your own job.Twice weekly payroll.Dedicated recruitment consultant who will support you throughout your job search, employment and beyond.Apply Today
