We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Out of Hours Social Worker to join our team in Stockport. As an essential member of our Qualified Social Work field, you will play a crucial role in providing support and intervention during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Responding to urgent safeguarding concerns and emergencies outside of regular office hours. Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals. Liaising with other professionals, such as police, healthcare providers, and community services, to coordinate effective support for service users. Documenting all interactions and actions taken in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and Social Work England registration. Demonstrated experience in a social work role, preferably within a safeguarding or crisis intervention capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals in distress. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and adult safeguarding.
