We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Out of Hours Social Worker to join our team in Stockport. As an essential member of our Qualified Social Work field, you will play a crucial role in providing support and intervention during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Responding to urgent safeguarding concerns and emergencies outside of regular office hours.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
- Liaising with other professionals, such as police, healthcare providers, and community services, to coordinate effective support for service users.
- Documenting all interactions and actions taken in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and Social Work England registration.
- Demonstrated experience in a social work role, preferably within a safeguarding or crisis intervention capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals in distress.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and adult safeguarding.
