We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PERM Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team in Northamptonshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in the region.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting timely and thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and develop appropriate intervention plans Managing complex cases, including child protection, court proceedings, and looked after children Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support and services to vulnerable children and families Participating in duty rota systems to respond to urgent child protection concerns and provide immediate support Keeping accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation in line with statutory requirements and best practiceEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and HCPC registration Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly in duty and assessment settings Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills to effectively manage complex cases Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities to engage with children, families, and professionalsAdditional requirements or benefits:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PERM Children's Social Worker to join our CIC/Court Team in Northamptonshire. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families involved with the Children in Care (CIC) and Court systems.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking assessments and reviews of children and families to ensure their needs are met Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and stakeholders Attending court hearings and providing evidence-based reports to support decision-making Working closely with children, families, and carers to promote positive outcomes and safeguarding Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional developmentThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification Registered with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in working within Children's Services, particularly with CIC and Court cases Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in social work practice Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skillsIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in court proceedings, child protection, and working with complex cases will be highly desirable.
