In this position, you will lead and coordinate Family Group Conferences, ensuring that families are at the heart of decision-making processes regarding their children’s welfare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Facilitating and managing Family Group Conferences, ensuring adherence to best practices and legal frameworks. Collaborating with social workers, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective plans tailored to individual family needs. Providing training and support to staff and volunteers involved in the Family Group Conference process. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Family Group Conferences, making recommendations for improvements. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Registered with Social Work England (SWE) and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in social work. Strong understanding of child protection and family support legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate families.
